Senior / Principal Business Analyst

Nimbus has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional Senior / Principal Business Analyst to join our team. The Senior / Principal Business Analyst will be responsible for the design, implementation, and evolution of corporate information systems. You will work with key stakeholders, users, vendors, and solution architects to establish automated workflows that improve efficiencies and shorten time for decision making across relevant business functions. You will report to our Executive Director, Head of Information Systems.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Partner with key business stakeholders to design and implement a governance operation model across processes, systems, and technologies
  • Proactively identify new opportunities and/or external software solutions to address gaps in the Nimbus ecosystem
  • Prioritize informatics projects that advance the portfolio and champion community buy-in
  • Gather and document requirements and translate complex scientific concepts into standardized/simplified workflows and diagrams
  • Ensure effective communication between scientific teams, technical leads, and vendors to ensure requirements are met when selecting systems and/or developing processes
  • Manage the design, development, and implementation of processes and/or robust software in collaboration with stakeholders, scientists, and solution architects
  • Collaborate across functions and map data workflows to identify opportunities to automate data flow across systems and between functions
  • Write specifications, configurations, and workflow diagrams for solution architects to implement system integration
  • Follow data management best practices to ensure that data assets are FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable)
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining standards for best practices in data provisioning and data integration
  • Act as an expert technical and scientific resource to scientific community and solution architects
  • Coordinate system/process training and organize training materials for Nimbus employees

These Qualifications Will Help This Role Be Successful:

  • Bachelors degree in Scientific or Engineering field. Masters or PhD preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant Business Analyst and Data Management experience within the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Industry
  • Excellent influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with key business partners, IT and external service providers
  • Knowledge in wide range of R&D processes and related scientific and data management tools/applications
  • Ability to navigate, problem-solve, execute, and lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Business and validation knowledge in regulated/Life Sciences industry desirable
  • Experience within SOX regulated environment desirable
  • Must be a methodical and detail-oriented individual
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills – communicates thoughts in a well-organized manner
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects and interacting with cross functional teams
